Taking care and maintaining your color is something I’ve always stayed true to. This past month I’ve had the opportunity to be apart of Redkens Color Tribe and I can honestly say I have my best color to date.
I went in to see my favorite colorist Alicia Soulier, the owner of Capelli Salon Studio based in Saskatoon. During my appointment we tested out Redken’s Shades EQ line for the first time on my hair. I decided to go for a creamy cool-toned blonde, letting my natural roots peep out on the top of my head. I personally love this look because of how natural it is and the up-keep of this color is super easy. I never have to worry about my roots coming in too soon because i’m letting it naturally fall into place. Alicia hand painted in high-lights to brighten up my blonde and make an effortless look. She framed the pieces around my face using a brighter blonde so that the roots wouldn’t completely wash me out. The main product she used to achieve my new look was the Shades EQ Demi-Permanent Hair Gloss. This product adds additional shine and smoothness, which is something I definitely need. My hair tends to get very dry on the ends since I do use heat on it often. After she applied the Shades EQ I instantly noticed a difference in my hair and I felt like it added in extra strength I desperately needed.
Once we finished up the color, I last minute decided I wanted to chop my hair. I have been growing my hair out for the past year and I wanted to change up my look. We went for a chic LOB (long bob) and I am completely obsessed with it. Debating on if I should go a bit shorter..What do you guys think?!!
My entire experience with the Redken community has been amazing. Being apart of their Tribe means having access to Redkens stylists, the latest products, and secret tips & tricks they use on their clients.
I answered a fun little Q&A on Redkens website so head over there if you want to get to know me a little bit more. 💗 And see below the video of my Redken transformation!
